Global issue, Seems Playstation network is offline(CRASHED). Your date and time is off too and to wont allow you to update it via the internet. Your going to have to wait like the rest of us PS3 junkies till Sony fixes it

first ..you do have your own rooter dont you?

the way you explain this problem sounds like you just logged onto which ever connection you found! did you or afamily member set up a commection using belkin54g?

back to basics!
in order to connect to the net with any device...PC (if you dont have a pc how did you send this post?)...Wii PS3 first you need to install and connect to your own internet connection device i.e.ASDL Broadband rooter..call it what you want

lol it sounds like you've been useing your next door neighbour's unsecured internet connection...nice cheap way to get connected.....but a bit of a bummer when text door go on holiday
i suggest setting up your own rooter (withyour own password)

i have a wireless and ı have my own pc and adsl.the PS3 sees the wireless and my internet connection is ok but it doesnt opens web pages and doesn't sign me in into my account please help mee :(

Im trying to set up my playstaion 3 to play online, it is asking me for a WEP key or a WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK key and i haven't got one on my home hub.
If you are connecting through a standard ethernet cable you should not be getting this question. However, if you are trying to connect through wifi it is best to check your router/hub to make sure there is no preset factory wep or wpa key

I keep getting kicked off line during game play:server connection error. i wiil start out with a strong signal then i get kicked off, sometimes i get get thrown out of playstation network:an error occured...
one your internet speed could be to slow for the online server to work, two the playstaion 3 scart lead maybe loose belive me it happened to mine i out the scart in properly and it worked, three your internet plug may be loose, try phoning playstation and ask for help if any of these dnt work.

I guessing you live close to a neighbor that has an unsecured wireless network. It is possible that they changed their security settings to block out other IP addresses (meaning your PS3). The best solution would be to establish your own internet connection and/or wireless network thru a local broadband internet provider.
