I have inherited a 12 ga remington model II,,,serial #359762,, can you give me an approximate date this gun was manufactured and can the barrel be exchanged or replaced??

    Trying to find a manufacture date for a remington 660 with a serial no. 107328. I found out they were made from 1968-1971 but can't find the year from serial no. with numbers and no letters,as descibed in web sites I have seen.

Both models 1100 and 1187 have a variety of replacement barrels available for them. They are fairly common. Can't help you with the date but Remington is an outstanding firearms company to deal with. Try their website.

What is the manufacture date and approximate worth of a Remington model 6 22 caliber rifle. Model number on stock is S363171
he Model 6 Rolling block was made from 1901 to 1933.
rifles manufactured after 1921 will have a date code consisting of 2 letters stamped on the left side of the barrel near the receiver.

Remington serial number records are not publically available to determine a date of manufacture some old gunsmiths have the info but are not publishing it publically ie the internet.

Here is a link for Remington Dates of Manufacture. It is highly reliable for rifle identification. Note to shotguns. It is possible a barrel may have been swapped. It appears you will need more Alphabetic Characters to satisfy the date and year of the manufacture of the weapon. One must disassemble and look for stamped characters.
