The code is 049 for my Sanyo TV

With my universal remote you hit the code search key until it lights up then you press and release the tv key
Then enter the three digit code and the indicator light turns off if you enter the wrong code the light will flash rapidly.
Aim the remote at your tv and press the on/off key. If your tv turns off you have found the right code.

Try manually pressing the power/standby button on the tv (side or bottom) the red light should appear, most modern tv's will turn on simply by pressing the channel up or down on the tv itself..
