My adapter is not working

India is 230v 50hz. Microwave will not work there. Computers and things with built in adapters can adjust. Microwaves and things with motors usually can't.

You cannot have it repaired. You must buy a 120 - 240 Volt power supply. The following website sells them and ships to India:

Canada is 120. U.K. is 240. This is only for the adapter (large block between PC and wall outlet). This adapter changes A.C. current from wall to D.C. current for laptop. If power adapter is from Canada.  You must buy a different power adapter.  These should be available in U.K. Bring old cords and block to computer store so you get the right plug and voltage.
