Start with running your antivirus scans in safe mode...you may have a trojan or worm on there that prevents you from going into programs and you are always more able to remove viruses, etc, in safe mode than in normal startup

What browser are you currently using?

Are you using Internet Explorer?

Try using a different browser it may work better for you or you can try starting Internet Explorer in safe mode to see if it is a plug-in that is hanging up the website.

Follow the instruction with in this link to start Internet Explorer in safe mode: Knowledge Base

If the website functions has expected under safe mode you will need to deactivate the problem plugin or just reset Internet Explorer. Here is a link on how to reset Internet Explorer: Reset Internet Explorer settings

If the above does not help you narrow down what is happening. Make sure that your computer is fully up-to-date, restart the machine, and see if the problem still occurs.

Let me know if that helps.

Errors on page and pages loading slowly, please help

You probably have a virus or infection. Boot your system into Safe Mode With Networking (this will give you internet connectivity) then download and install MalwareBytes and run a Quick Scan.

Turn off the computer, then hit the power button to turn it back on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see SAFE MODE. Take the Safe Mode With Networking option and let it boot up. Safe Mode will look different to you, the screen will be darker and the icons bigger, this is normal. When it boots up all the way, open your internet browser, then download and install MalwareBytes and run a Quick Scan.

Go to www.google.com and in the search box type: "Download cnet Malwarebytes" (without the quotes). Download and install malwarebytes from the sites download.cnet/malwarebytes. When the site opens up click on the Green Download button on the left. Do not click the Red Download button, that's junk. When it finishes installing the Gui Interface will open up with an offer to Accept a Trial Version or Decline. CLICK DECLINE you want the totally free version. Run a QUICK SCAN. As it scans, if it finds infections the number will be in red. When it finishes scanning, click SHOW RESULTS. A notepad text document will open up showing you the results. You can close the text document and go back to the Gui Interface where you will click REMOVE SELECTED RESULTS. The objects will already be selected for you. When it finishes removing the objects click ok and it will sometimes reboot your machine.

Reset Internet Explorer by clicking Start/Control Panel and look for Internet Options. When Internet Options open, click the Advanced Tab then look down and click Reset Internet Explorer settings.

Try using another browser. Internet Explorer is the worst browser there is, try the faster and safer browsers.

Try downloading Mozilla Firefox, Opera and Google Chrome. Unlike Internet Explorer they install in less than 5 minutes and they are faster and safer than Internet Explorer.

Go to www.google.com and in the search box type: "Download Mozilla Firefox" (without the quotes). Download and Install Mozilla Firefox from Mozilla's website. Do the same thing for Opera and Google Chrome.

I've put the links of each one below so if you like you can just click on them to go to their site to do the download and install.

How do I get rid of ask browser, I want my microsoft inter employer back !!!!!

I assume you mean you want Microsoft Internet Explorer back. First off I have never heard of an Ask Browser. I have heard of the Ask Toolbar, but not a browser. The toolbar is running in whatever browser you have opened. If you look closely at the top it will say Ask Toolbar Internet Explorer. I know it changes the look and it may appear that IE is not even running but it is. Once your remove the toolbar it will look normal again. In order to uninstall the Ask Toolbar you must close the Internet Explorer Browser and any other browser you have running. Best way to make sure this is done is to restart your computer in Safe Mode. Click Restart and when you see or hear anything start tapping the F8 key. Continue tapping the key until you see the computer enter Safe Mode. Once you see that choose only Safe Mode and nothing else. Then click Start >> Control Panel >> Add/Remove Programs. Find the Ask Toolbar in the list and click it. The click Uninstall. Once all this is finished restart your computer and it will start normally. If you cannot enter safe mode then make sure all your browsers are not running and do the very same thing in Add/Remove Programs. If you have any problems post back and I will give you another alternative which involves using Task Manager to stop all Internet Explorer processes. IE must not be running or you cannot remove the Ask Toolbar.

Yahoo Browser connects to internet, but Explorer&AVG update wont

Yahoo Connects but IE and AVG wont
1. Try opening AVG and adjusting the connection settings.
2. Go to Start/ Network connections/ Local area connection/ General tab/ Scroll down to TCP/IP/ highlight it and click properties. Make sure "obtain IP address automatically" is checked. Under the advanced setting there, DHCP should be enabled.
3. Verify setting in Internet Explorer under: Tools/Options/ Connections/ Lan Settings/ select "automatically detect settings"

You might also check your AVG program for a firewall conflict or block there.
