Hi

Thank you for your query

Generally you dont need to disable the onboard VGA to AGP, all you need to do is to ensure that you plug the monitor lead into the AGP VGA card.

However if you wish to disable the onbaord VGA then please do the following

1) Ensure that the monitor lead is plugged into the onboard VGA card/port
2) Siwitch on PC then press F12, esc or del key to enter detup (When switching on there will be a message that says press X to enter setup)
3) This will present you with a blue BIOS screen, if yuo go through the menu there will be a option that says 'onboard/integrated peripherals'
4) choose that option and there will be a further option 'onboard VGA' this will be set to enabled. Set this to disabled and then save and exit
5) Note at this point you will have to move the VGA cable from the monitor from the back of the VGA prot to the AGP VGA card

I hope this has been helpful

Chaintech 6VTA2 , please the jumpers setting for this motherboard

You can find a PDF file of the manual for this motherboard here:

http://www.elhvb.com/mobokive/Archive/Chaintech/manuals/6xxxx/6vta2.exe

It includes the jumper functions. The file will download as a self-extracting exe file. I have takent he liberty of insuring it is virus free.

The Dell Poweredge 1800 does not start and does not display on the screen. Does anyone have a manual/information about the jumpers onboard? Is it possible to switch the internal Radeon 7000 graphics unit...

The jumpers are near the CMOS battery, by the SATA ports. Sometimes clearing the NVRAM using the jumpers can work with no video issues. If it doesn't, try removing all unnecessary components - drives, cards, memory beyond a single DIMM in slot 1, etc. If that doesn't work, try reseating the processor, if there is only one. If there are two, you can try booting with a single processor (always in slot 1), swapping them to try each one. If these steps don't work, it is likely a bad board. If there are no fans spinning, lights on the front, etc., then it might be the power supply.

Unfortunately, there are no jumpers (and no BIOS setting for that matter) to disable the onboard video.

How to turn off the builtin video on QDI Winnex 1E motherboard?

Check your BIOS - there should be a setting in there to disable the onboard video. You shouldn't need to use a jumper to disable this.

Is there a jumper to turn off the onboard video

The choosing of video is normally done with the BIOS setup. Use whatever access key is needed to get into the BIOS and then find the page that sets video, and select onboard or PCI, or AGP, or whatever the choices are. No Jumper.

Boot error code 5d on a Chaintech VNF3-250 mobo.

Error Code 5d: Initialize Init Onboard Super IO switch.

Generally caused by a mismatched RAM stick int the MIDDLE RAM slot. Try using a single stick of RAM and boot, make sure you do not put this single stick of RAM in the middle slot, and it should boot right up.

Seting all jumpers to motherboard chaintec 6via5t socket 379 intel

Gateway sold all the "support" for its older computers (manuals, software, hardware) to a company that went bankrupt in November 2008.

So, _no_ information about "older" Gateway computers is available online -- not even how to set jumpers.
