Inconsistant wireless signal in house

Have you checked that the signal on your new cable modem/router is strong enough to reach your wireless devices? You may need to re-site the cable modem to get better coverage in your home. Your old one probably worked fine in the same position but that doesn't mean a new one will. There are a few things you can try to get the best of the range it has. Internal walls and furnishings all play a part in reducing the effective range of the router. Most routers will give you at least 50 metres indoors. Keep the router as high and as far away from walls as you can, this will greatly improve the range. Try to ensure the router is not screened by large near by metal objects such as steel PC cases, these will absorb wireless signals and reduce the range.

D-Link DIR-600 Router got a new account with att and my dlink wont work. it worked fine untill I had to set up a new account because of a late payment. I tried the install disc but no go all green lights...

Turn off everything and wait for a few minutes and turn on the modem and wait for the lights to be steady then turn on the router and lastly the PC... make sure also that the connection of the modem to the router is correct ( modem should be connected to the WAN/Internet port on the router)

The modem & internet lights on router are flashing orange. All other lights are solid blue. The Verizon DSL modem indicates it is working properly. Have re-set once. What do I do now?

Its your network that's causing connection problem!

1. Try to connect to your network after half an hour!

2. If the server is still busy, don't surf during peak hours! (surf @ night)

3. Change your ISP! (last solution)

Cannot connect to internet through the router. Working fine last week, not working now. What's up? Can you help?

Power off ur Router > disconnect all the cables>
find a button that says RESET or it can be a pinhole> press and hold on it for 30 seconds > reconnect the power and wait till all the lights come on> reconnect all the cables try connection> if still no connection>
do the same for the modem( and do check if a Wired connection is working with both the devices)

Cant get to internet thru linksys etherfast cable/dsl router

Reset the modem while the router is plugged into it. Do this by disconnecting the power to the modem and then reconnecting.
