There are no fuses on the mainboard, not even in the powersupply. The power supply maybe contains a thermal switch, but it does not pay to let it be changed. The solution is to buy a new or used power supply. If still no life when the power supply is changed, the mainboard is dead.
Your mainboard PVCLE266M-L does not support the DDR 400 Mhz RAM (PC3200) ie @ 400Mhz frequency. For the memory specfications it support "2 x 184-pin DIMM sockets support two2.5V DDR SDRAMs (DDR266)" maximium is 2GB or DDR PC2100 ie @ 266Mhz frequency.
PC133 is the SDRAM so it will not fit the DDR RAM slot.
You should not use the 400MhzDDR memory RAM on a Mainboard with a FSB(Front Side Bus) of 133 Mhz and the 400Mhz DDR Ram is not compatible with the mainboard.
Get the DDR 266 with double side chipset i.e.DDR1 RAM (DDR PC2100) RAM and it will be compatible with your mainboard. Sometimes single side chipset DDR1 RAM will not work on older mainboard.
Replace all electrolytic capacitors in power supply section on
mainboard. caused by poor quality lower voltage lower temp caps being used in
powersupply and being put right beside a heatsink (Der are we clever or what) . Problem will reoccur every 2 to 3 years if 105oC caps are
not used. If mainboard is replaced with new mainboard problem will
reoccur within same timeframe. Fix old mainboard using higher voltage
and higher temp caps and problem will be gone for good.
Go to Mercury's website, and under 'download drivers' is all the information you need. The drivers for the various devices are there, and a downloadable copy of the manual. http://www.mercury-pc.com/product-detail.php?link=p-mainboards&subtitle=Mainboard&productid=439
The USB cable to the fron panel and the mother board look similar. The cable and board will have 1 pin missing at the end of the connector, and that is the orientation to connect it.
You need the network drivers to activate the network connection (also at mercury's website)
Thank you soooo much I really appreciate it, I have been searching the web for ages looking for it
:-)
