My E71 can't send SMS but it can RECEIVE text messages. I have already tried the following: 1. Changed message center number 2. Changed SIM cards 3. Inquired with my network provider. I am enrolled on a plan so it's impossible that I do not have SMS messaging since I can make phone calls. 4. Restored factory settings 5. Restarted my phone a million times already. 6. Closed all open applications

waleedbasham , please try to go to messaging>options>settings>text message 1) make sure you have a defined message center for your present sim network2) check preferred connection, must be gsm/3g for item 1, the message center should contain a number : country code+your mobile network prefix
Follow this step your problem will be solved You should call the customer care there they will tell to change the message center number. *Select menu *Select message settings *Select sending profile *Select sms center 1. *message center number. Thanks for your question.
Hi, issues like this are related to your Sim card (network), not your Cell Phone . In most cases, regarding the text messages, the problem is from the Service Operator. Have you tried the Sim card on another phone? If not, remove the Sim card, insert it on another phone and try sending a message from another mobile to you number, or you can do it in vise- versa by inserting another Sim card on your mobile.
If you can't receive text messages even when it's inserted on another handset, then you will need to call the customer care of your Network Operator and tell them your problem, they will help you fix it immediately.
You can check the message center number, but I don't think it's very much important in your case, well, if you wanna try, just check the text message settings and verify that the message center number (which is currently in use) is the same number which is on another phone with the same network (the other Sim should be of the same network in your area). If it's different, make the changes and save the settings. Also disable the "Receive Via" or similar settings.. (I can't recollect the exact settings as i don't have the same model with me, please excuse me for this.).
If the same Sim card doesn't receive text messages using another handset, don't bother to change the settings or to make any changes with it, first call the customer care and verify from them, you may make mistakes instead of fixing it.
This could only be caused by a couple of things. The message center number in the handset may not be correct, which will cause the messages to fail. The other possibility is that the feature is not active on your account with your wireless provider. What you need to do is test a couple of things. See if you can send a text/sms message to yourself, in doing this you can verify that you can not only send, but receive text/sms messages. If you cannot send, or receive text/sms messages, then that verifies that the message/service center number is off, and will need to be corrected. If that works, and you can receive text/sms messages, then your service center number is correct, and you will move to the next troubleshooting step, which is to test your web browser. If you cannot launch the web browser on your handset, then this is an issue, because the MMS service requires that you have both SMS, and web browser service to send a MMS message. If you can access the internet and you have the ability to send/receive text/sms, then you need to call your service provider as the issue may be with their service.
I hope you can receive text sms. We have never come across sending and receiving text messages problems related to handset. If you can receive, then you can send them, except your messages settings. I don't understand when you say "Warid" anyway, if you haven't reset the phone to it's factory default, please do it now using the code 12345 (i hope you haven't changed it, if so, use your code). Go to settings > Restore factory > Ok and enter the code 12345 when you are prompted. Your phone will automatically restart after it is reset. Now try sending a text message once again. If this doesn't help, then follow the instructions below;
Go to Messaging > Options >settings > text message > message center (note the message center in use as soon as you open the "text message") then highlight the message center name which is in use, select it and check the center number (you'll need to refer to another sim card's message center with the same service operator).
[also set "reply via..." as "no" and "delivery.." as "maximum..."]
If it's different, then make the changes and save it. Now restart your phone and try sending the text message again. If the problem still persists, it's from the service provider, call the customer care of your network operator and tell them your problem, they'll help you fix it.
Try the following steps. I fixed the same problem on my E71 with these.
1. move the sms which can not be sent into the draft box.
2. switch the phone to offline mode.
3. enter draft box, and send the sms
4. after the notification of "saving into sending box..", power off the phone.
5. turn on the phone again, select "no" for the question, then, wait several second, u can see the sms is sent.
You have to save all your data first , then you have to format the handset by switch off and then pressing * and 3 and green button and the power button all at the same time un till it asks about country setting and time etc
