Hi, If you are in new Zealand and your 880 model is the NZ 870 model, the fan motor can be got at Carrier Air Conditioning, part # SP-W3035766, for around $105.00.

I see by my computer this is a UK unit made for UK climates.

My 880 home dry is around 15 years old now and when on makes a loud squeaking noise, what is it and is it worth repairing , other wise works fine .regards
sounds like the fan - its worth taking apart and seeing which bit squeeks, if its the bearing try a small amount of WD40 first. try not to get any on the motor of electrics. You can by an electrolube spray if is is the Fan... Well worth taking apart, the latest EBAC models are of very poor quality.
I also had a Homedry for 15 years and the cabinets started to root first... I've had three 2560e's since all replaced under warranty - pcb failures...

Just replaced fan motor,and blade works fine,been running for 4 days,but no water collected,in container home homedry 660
These are somewhat related to cooling systems so the system may need a coolant recharge like any AC. Check your user guide to see if there is any mention of a need for recharging.

how to take the backing case of a homedry i am trying to get to the fan as it is making a squeaking noise, i have taking the 2 screws out from the bottom, now i would guess you take the plug of the back, but how does this come of as i have tried many ways but with no luck and i am close to breaking it if i try any harder, many thanks
