I Unable to access my Laptop please help me out.

If the eject button doesn't open the door, try going into 'My Computer', then right-clicking the DVD drive, then click 'Eject' on the menu that pops up. Maybe that will get it open for you.

If your computer is still under warranty you can contact the Toshiba support site and order recovery media. They will refer you to the company that sells them. The cost is about 45 dollars + taxes.
Even if your computer is no longer under warranty you may still be able to obtain the recovery medias.

Failing that, you may consider buying a retail version of the Windows Operating system and install it on the computer. Some custom buttons may not work, and you will have to go to the Toshiba support web site to download the drivers for your computer. Before buying a version of Windows, check the Toshiba site for your computer and your intented OS (WinXP 32/64, Vista 32/64, or Win 7 32/64) )to see if they have drivers.

go to toshiba's website and type in your model number under support/ drivers and you will find ALL the drivers you need :)

open "my computer'- usually on the desktop. There you will see your hard drives. C: or D: is mainly the default. Right click the drive then go down to 'properties'!

if so hold the fn key at the same time as pressing the relevant f key. on my toshiba laptop the fn key is bottom left hand of the keyboard.

In case of your laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper.

Hi smtega. There's not a jumper. Try this. Unplug the power adapter. and (assuming you know how to open the laptop) - just remove the BIOS battery inside (something like a battery for a watch, sometimes it has a sleeve or a little casing. Wait a minute or so, and then try again. If that doenst work just wait longer and then try it. Enter the bios utility, go to the hard drive settings and set the hard drive to compatibility mode. After that install the O.s. as usual.

After you install the O.s., install the sata driver and then, turn back the hard drive to AHCI from Bios.

This is resolved by installing Intel Storage Manager drivers through "F6" option on XP Setup. YOU MUST HAVE AN EXTERNAL FLOPPY DISK (A Drive)...as the Portege doesn't come with one...and XP does not support USB or CD ROM for this particular function.
