Picture problem on panasonic Vierra plasma tv

It looks like you are saying standard definition pictures do not cover the screen like HD pictures do. Standard def is formatted 4:3 and high def is 16:9. They are not the same so your high def screen is made to display the not as tall but wider high def picture. In order to fill the screen with the taller and not as wide 4:3 aspect ratio std def picture you must tell the TV to stretch the picture or otherwise fill the screen. The TV will have controls you can exercise for this purpose and you can set it up to always show std def in a particular manner. The alternative, if you want the standard Def picture to look true to form, is to view standard def in Letter Box form. It's appearance will then include black panels on the sides of the picture. So the problem is not with the TV but in accepting older format pictures playing on newer format displays (TVs.)

Pictures not opening well, wheniver i try to open it displays an X symbol, what could be the problem.

Hi,

The problem could be the format of the picture that you are trying to open, also the software that you are using to open.

Does your problem look like this?geneadrian_4.jpg
If you are using Office Picture Manager to view the pictures remember that not all Picture format is supported like this one its in TIF format.

Always save your picture file using Jpeg or GIF format..

Hope this gives you idea.. Thumbs up please.

Picture has lines through it

Does this problem appear on the LCD only or on the printed pictures and the LCD?
Is this on all the pictures or just in certain SCN?
Try different SCN and ISO to see if problem still persists.
If the problem is intermitted, try to find a pattern in to when the faulty pictures appear.

Some pics have solid gray areas blocking part of the pic

Many digital cameras will display a thumbnail representation on the lcd and not the actual picture (for speed). So the problem is with the picture itself and if it is consistent in ALL of your pictures, it points to a problem with the imager. If the problem is not with all of your images, it could be a lighting issue. Try taking a picture of a solid white wall that is well lighted and see if the problem persists. If not, make sure your lighting is brighter.
