I have a Miele Built-In Icognito 658/850 SCVi. The intake/drain light is on, and I have followed the directions in the manual. The light turns off after I follow the directions and the unit turns on but there is no water running through the unit. When I open up the unit, the light is then on again.

My unit is built-in and the valve is not readily accessible. Are there any other troubleshooting steps I can take before I undertake pulling the unit out of its place?

Check to see if the water shut-off valve (located under the sink, it is an electromagnet valve, located at the pipe's entrance to the machine) is open. If you get water to the dishwasher, but there is still no water inside during the fill cycle, the problem might be with a faulty water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side), in which case replace the water valve.

No these are the only two possible solutions. You have to move it..

Miele Incognito G643 SCVI

It sounds like there are some faulty wiring connections to the motor.

You will have to check your wiring from the timer to the motor.

Does it do the same thing if you select a different cycle on the push buttons?

The wiring diagram should be in the bottom access panel of the dishwasher or in the control panel.

Red intake light comes on and dishwasher will not drain, model g 843 scvi

The manual is available here: http://www.miele.ca/miele/canada/OperatingInstructions/manuals.asp?ParFolder=Dishwashers&SubFolder=Previous%20models . Scroll down through the list to the G643 G843 Incognito. The maintenance items listed below are detailed on page 44 and beyond of the manual.

The Intake light is also the Drain error light. If the light is flashing, then turn off the dishwasher and clean the triple filter, the drain pump and the non return valve and make sure that there are no kinks in the drain hose.

Make sure the water is ccoming in at a pressure above 4.5 psi. Also make sure that the water valve is open and clean the water intake filter.

The final possibility is that the Waterproof system has tripped and you need a Miele technician to service the unit.

I hope this helps.

We've got an Meile Incognito dishwasher, model G 843 SCVi plus. It purges at the begining of the cycle and then seems to fill with water, but then the red Intake/Drain light starts to flash and the cycle...

I would start by checking the drain line where it is connected to the garbage disposal. Check and make sure there is no solid build up obstructing the discharge into the garbage disposal. You can go a step further by removing the dishwasher drain line for thorough check up
If it has been establish that there is no obstruction by other means. There may be a problem with the control board.
I would suggest cautious approach in making rush decision on replacing the board.

Hi

First check if the drain hose is not clogged and try to clean it as it can be that the hose is clogged and the water is not draining properly. After that check if the drain pump filter is fine and not clogged, try to clean that as well. After this check the metal filter, impeller cover and the air gap unit. After checking this you can reset the error as follows: turn the rotary selector switch to "Stop/End" or press the "Start/Stop" switch for approx. 5 secs. Then switch the appliance off and then back on again. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Miele Dishwasher Problem

This just happened to me (my hands are still dripping from cleaning out the water at the bottom of the tub). Frustrated because I had cleaned the filters, bailed out the water with a cup, yet the light was still flashing. I finally followed the troubleshooting guide in the operating manual and held down the start/stop button for 5 seconds, while the machine was on, which seemed to reset everything. Works fine now.
