Question about RCA F27450 27" TV

    Thank you for your answer. Is it common for this to happen on a set that's only a year old (just past the warranty date)?

Sounds like you have a bad picture tube. It would not be worth replacing.

    Not common in the past but it seems as though now sets are not produced with the quality control of previous models. If you are willing to spend a little money you could take it to a shop and get an estimate for $50 - $80. It could be something else, but when components fail they do not work again except for the picture tube. There is a long shot it could be a solder joint. The new solder without lead in it is causing alot of problems. It is brittle and cracks very easily. Usually though a cracked solder joint takes longer to trigger the problem than a few minutes, due to the heating necessary to expand the board and break the connection. These would be the options you could take. Let me know if you need anymore help.

It sounds that the fault is with the connections that goes to panel from its T'Con board. Check all the flat cable connections. Re-seat them once.

The video cuts out after 1 minute the tv is turned on the tv. audio works but no video. The video comes on after inital power on, after a minute the video shuts on, but you can still hear the audio on the...
The backlight inverter board may be going out, or bad capacitors in the power supply.

Picture stays on for about 1 or 2 minutes and then goes out. The audio is still heard but no picture. What is the problem?
the prob is you bought a tv that has no support for repair or techsupport. you usually end up paying more for the tv trying to get fixed. rather than purchasing name brand with manufacturer warranty. the panel is bad and i wouldnt even try to fix. thats why the tv was so inexpensive. contact element for some type of exchange program at flat rate.

No video but there is audio after replacing bulb
NAKE SURE YOUR FRONT COVER THAT GOES OVER THE LIGHT IS'NT ON TO TIGHT ALSO CHECK THE 2 SCREWS THAT MOUNT THE LAMP COVER MAKE SURE THERE NOT TO TIGHT AND THAT THERE BOTH SCREWED IN THE SAME AMOUNT AND ALSO CHECK THE FAN ON THE BACK OF YOUR T.V. AND CLEAN IT IF NEEDED

Element hdtv flx3210 shuts video off after a few seconds.
Send the set back for service.

The power supply most likely failed, or another circuit board has failed and the set is in the protect mode.

I would consider to see if the dealer would exchange the set for a well known quality brand name set and pay the difference.

I have a 2006 Sony TV big screen, I turn the Tv on but it clicks back of within seconds. I have a Sony TV big screen. I bought it in 2006. The TV wouldn't come on so I purchased a lamp for that model, that I had bought new in case that the old one went out. It wouldn't come on before I changed it. So I thought that that was the answer. We changed it and it was still turning off an on but it wouldn't stay on and it is still doing it.
