I need to find one to repair a unit. What is the part #,how much and can I order it from Bunn? If so, how do I order it?

I have a bunn 11 the problem im having is sometimes it works fine and other times the machine will turn on and off. I unplug and replug it works then continues to flicker on and off. Any sugestions.

There is a ready light (green but sometimes red) that will go on and off as the brewer heats up. It will periodically turn off when re-heating but should light when ready. This is normal.
* Bunn have red rocker switches that are sometimes lit when in use. Some do flicker but still work. Call for service if not.
* Rocker (RED) switches should have a definite click sound from the switch. these are usually the warmer plate or on/off switches. Some may flicker but you can check the warmer plate if it's working. Ask the vendor to change it the next time they come by as it still works but annoying.
* The black rockers (unlit) should snap to all EXCEPT the brew switch which tends to be mushy with a spring back. The only way to know if it works is the plate gets warm.
* Check the outlet if any other machine shows intermittent power. Some places overload the outlet and trip the breaker or GFRI so frequently most people unknowing think the power blacks out all night but really someone just reset the breaker. Have maintenance move the brewer on another outlet (and breaker) or have the breaker checked as it may be worn.
* Call your vendor anyway as there may be an electrical short or loose wire inside the brewer. Many times I've found the warmer plate wires burnt or fell off the terminals.

Our bunn NHS Velocity was unplugged accidently. Now when we make coffee it is really luke warm and the light doesn't appear on

This is really a home style VPR brewer (but looks nicer)
if you listen to their video (link below) they mention it has a pre-heated tank of water already in the brewer. This means the brewer needs to be pre-filled with a full pot of water and pre-heated prior to using the brewer. Unplugging this unit won't be a problem UNLESS it was emptied of tank water and not refilled when powered up.
* The unit will try and heat up the tank of water but if empty then just air which overheats the unit then blows the thermal fuse. Call for service.
* The warmer is still working but it's not hot enough to brew frequently as the warmer may take up to an hour to get the tank hot enough to brew or it may not get hot at all if it's own thermal fuse blew too.
* Final; call for service to be safe.

Phil, If brewer has not been cleaned in a while this happens. the 1st link is your manual for down load, page 7,8 tell how to clean to fix your problem, if it has a bad build up may have to run 2x. Also watch video.

Can anyone supply me with detailed photos of the wiring to a Bunn-O-Matic VPR?

The VPR manual is on the bunn.com website. (Free)
*** the following is for information only as all repairs should be performed by a qualified Bunn tech. ***
* The VPR has two heaters in the brewer. There is an element inside the water tank (cylinder) which is wrapped in a warmer blanket which is also heated. (Like and electric blanket)
* There will be one or more warmer "Hot Plates".
* Most VPRs will power up as soon as it's plugged in. In other words there is no On/Off switch (though this may have changed in newer models or called a 'Vacation' switch that turns off all the internal heaters.)
* Each additional warmer plate will have it's own on/off switch.
* Internal heater(s) have thermal fuses on each heater. There may be a 2nd thermal fuse or High Limit on the tank - it looks like a disk with two tabs. The thermal fuses look like diodes that sometimes are enclosed in a plastic tube. There should be continuity on all good fuses. If it's open then replace.
* The element is straight forward. Similar to what you would find in a water heater. Which is basically what this brewer is. Just on a smaller scale.
* There is a bulb style thermostat wired in series with the main heater element. This is should be set to boil the water but it should not boil constantly. If it's always boiling then it's shorted. If it does not switch on when the dial is turned clockwise. Then it's open. Need to replace.
* Okay final note; I'm guessing the real question here is what the wires look like in the real brewer and not a bunch of lines on a paper. Most Bunn brewers come with a schematic (electrical) diagram under the top lid or inside a panel. So I've had that problem myself even though I have an Electronics background. You just have to take your time and follow each wire to the component. It's all there. But again, this should be performed by a Qualified Tech.

No manual with Bunn NHBX coffee maker.

before plugging in place your empty filter basket in the coffee maker and place a pot under it. Slowly pour in two pots of water using the pour pitcher. Now you can plug it in. it'll take 15 min to heat up first time . when you brew your first pot leave your water level a little short, because the water will expand (only the first time)

Slow recovery on bunn o matic for next cycle

You could have scale building up on the heating element and thermostat probe. try running a 1/3 white vinigar - 2/3 water mix into the brewer, let it heat up completely, then run several pots of clear water through the unit. keep pouring water through it until the vinigar smell is out of the water,
