Easy. All you have to do is to make sure that the DVD player is old the older types that have RCA connectors at the back of the DVD. Latest DVD may have RCA connections but I am not sure if it can send digital signal directly to the analog TV. Try this and see what happens. if your TV is old and does not have Component Video (Red/Green/Blue) RCA sockets (input) but has standard Pal/NTSC sockets (Yellow/Red/Black) hook up the yellow, red and black plugs into a DVD (out) RCA sockets of same colour, then hook up the other end of the cable in the (in) RCA sockets at the rear of the TV.
If it works, then all is well. If it doesn't work, then you have to hook up the cable from the DVD to the (input) RCA sockets of a Set Top Box, so that the Set Top Box will convert the signals for the analog TV. Just pay attention to the inputs and outputs at the rear of them.
On your DVD - plug the RCA cable to the (OUTPUT) RCA sockets. On the Set Top Box - plug the connectors in the (IN) RCA sockets and then use another cable connected to the OUT RCA's of the Set Top Box, then connect the other connectors to the (IN) of the TV RCA sockets. Hopefully you get the picture on what I mean.
You need 3 RCA plugs... generally colored red, white, and yellow. on the back of the DVD player plug the yellow to video out, the red to audio out (stereo), and the white to audio out (mono). The other side of them goes to the back of the TV... the yellow video input 1, the red audio (R) input 1, the white Audio (L) input 1. Then take the cable service round coax cable and screw it into the back of the DVD unit where it says Coax. Get another short coax cable and hook to back of the DVD unit on Cable out, and the other side to the back of the TV under cable/vhs. And that"s it! Hope that helps you! Chuck
IM GUESSING THIS MIGHT BE AN RCA TELEVISION? if you dont have an rca in hook up on the tv give up and buy a new tv or you can find an older item what it is is a switch that has an rca input and a coax output it was used to hook up the older video game systems it is still sold in most stores and that will work if you do have rca inputs and lost the remote you need to get a universal remote to switch the input on certain older rca tv's you could go to channel 00 and it would set it to the input with the switch you shoudl be able to use it by putting the tv on channel 3
How to hookup TV If you have a TV with only a single coax input and you want to hook up components like DVD players and VCRs, here's how to do it.
What you need to connect your DVD player or game players to a TV that only has a VHF/UHF 75-ohm F-connector ("coax antenna input").
1.) RF Modulator with Stereo Audio Inputs.
2.) 6 foot long coaxial cable with male "F" connectors. This cable goes from the modulator to the TV. The modulator also has a coaxial input to plug in your antenna or your VCR.
3.) 6 foot long Video and Audio Cables with "RCA" plugs. The cables connect the yellow, red and white outputs from your DVD or game player to the yellow, red and white inputs of the modulator.
Works with X-Box, PlayStation, Nintendo or other devices that output audio/video via the RCA plugs and you want to connect them to your coaxial only TV.
I'm assuming you have your video 1 hooked up for your cable. I would use video 2 for you dvd player. Use the rca connections, yellow, red, white. plug it into the video 2 slot on your tv and hook the other end on your dvd player. you will have to change your input on your tv to video 2 to have your dvd player work.
1. Plug in DVD player 2. Plug in VIDEO cable to back of DVD player There are multiple video out cable options: HDMI, VGA, RCA If you aren't sure, use RCA (red, white, yellow tri-plug cable) and plug yellow into VIDEO OUT port. 3. Plug other end of video cable into TV's VIDEO IN port. 4. Turn on TV to the INPUT channel that corresponds with the input port you plugged the video cable into. Usually, this is either VIDEO1, VIDEO2, INPUT1, INPUT2, or channel 3.
there a a bunch of different ways. 1) if you don't have a cable box hooked up to this tv,plug the main cable wire into the vcr input then the vcr outout to the tv.2) if you do have a cable box, plug the main cable into the cable box input, then the output to the vcr input, then the vcr output to the tv. put both the tv & vcr on channel 3 for this connection. [ you must have the vcr on channel 3 to record from the cable box!] 3) if you have aux line/video or source inputs on the back of your tv,you can hook up rca cables [ red, white,& yellow ] from the rca outputs on the vcr to the tv inputs.
hope this helps

I am assuming that you are using a surround sound system? If so on the back of the satellite receiver you will have RCA cables labled yellow ,red, white uuse an rca cable to run from the output on the back of the sat box to an rca input on the surround sound unit.the inputs should be labled on the back of the surround sound unit.once you have the sat box plugged in look for the output on the surround sound (rca cables) run one set of rca cables to the rca cable input of the Tv.on the original tv remote select the tv input that is the cable from the surround sound is plugged in to . make sure the surround sound unit input is selected to the input that the sat box is plugged into.this will give you surround sound from your satellite receiver, repeat with your DVD player plugging the DVD rca cable output to another empty input on the surround sound.to switch between the sat box (satellite TV) to DvD select another input on the surround sound unit.Try to correspond the units you are plugging into the surround sound to the correct name of the component on the back of the surround sound unit to avoid confussion.any questions,Im here to help.If this works rate me FIXYA! if it helps.GOOD LUCK!
