Question about RCA F27450 27" TV

How do I get my RCA 27" TV to play DVDs that are connected to the TV with RCA cables but can't find the input on the TV and there is no AUX channel on the TV

You did not mention which input you attached the RCA cables to. If it was component it would be one selection, if it was composite it would be another. If you do not have your operations manual you can find the manual at http://www.retrevo.com/samples/RCA-TV-manuals.html Download it and starting on page 7 look at the diagrams they show for hooking up the DVD. Inspect your hookup and make sure it is correct. If it is then follow the procedure they give for selecting the device. Using this manual you should be able to sort out your problems. This unit has quite a few inputs but they all should be available on the menu. I suspect that you are looking at the wrong one. Get the manual and look at the pages that I mentioned. Let me know if you need anymore help.

depend on tv input; if it's only one rca input mean is composite video; if are 3 rca input mean rgb video. so from dvd you need a scart to composite or rgb. on tv usually is AV or AUX channell. try to find a universal remote to select properly the channel. bye

Need to select proper input on the TV when playing DVDs. For VCR, select channel 3 or 4.

For cable TV or satellite TV , change channels on the proprietary box and record channel 3 or 4 on VCR. You can also hookup RCA cables (3) from cable box etc. to VCR. Select LINE input on VCR if connecting RCA cables.

The connections will have to go directly into your tv set. On your tv, you should have 3 connnecting points. Red, White and Yellow. On your Theatre system amplifier you should have audio outputs like CD, AUX, etc. Pick one of these outputs and connect to your Red and White RCA on the tv set. Next, connect the DVD player's audio to dvd on your amplifier under the DVD connection. Your VIDEO (yellow) Cable should still go to your tv directly from the DVD player. Now, if you want to listen to the TV channels throug the system, simply select the channel that you pluged the TV audio into. Hope this helps.

Hello

This is only some rough guidlines you can follow, as i have not worked with this spesific player before.

You need to connect a RCA cable from the tv(Sound) output. Connect the other end of the RCA cable to the AUX input on your Sony system. Now, all you need to do is to change the input setting on the sony system to AUX, you will be able to hear the TV trough the system.

the RCA cables look like this:

The coulor is of no matter, it is only coloured to ease the use. The RCA connector points on your TV will have the same colour. Remember to plug in the RCA cables into te sound output on the TV and into the AUX input on the Sony player.

channel 3 or 4 if you are using the antenna or cable n on your tv, Vid1 or Vid 2(aux in) if you are using the rca color coded dubbing cables(yellow-white-red)

Is your video input (from cable or satellite or fiber optic, etc.) coming from a coaxial cable, a component cable (red, green, and blue connectors), or an RCA cable (yellow connector for video)?

If you can, try an alternate input method and see if that makes a difference. Does it happen when watching DVDs or tapes, or when playing video games, or just when watching television?

try putting the tv on channel 00, that is where this tv apparently shows the input from at least one on the video channels.

After market remotes only work the most basic of functions - ie., volume channel changes , on/off. They do not get into menus, change inputs, etc. If you can change channels on the console tune it to 3 or 4 and get an rf adapter for your dvd player outputs, set it to one of those channels, and connect to tv antenna input. Ir will work but the picture will not be as good as it can be.

on some of these older RCA try simply tuning it from the remote down to chanel 01 or 00 this may work. if not you have to go into the setup menu of this set and enable the aux inputs
