My sharp mini component CD es777 won't work. it only flashes a red light where timer is. I tried the remote timer but still no luck. Help

Reset usually works when removing plug from socket.. count to 10..then place back in socket and switch on.

if there are no additional speaker jacks on the back of the receiver, then no; at least, not easily. 

What ohm are the speakers?

You mean the operation manual booklet or a one big poster-size that folds into 2 halves into a legal size?

The code CD20 means Tray error. The cd mechanism will have to be reset by a serviceman .
