Lens error restart camera

I got my canon powershot A590 about six months and I don’t really used much, I had dropped it with the lens extended (the lens end up chucked) and a friend of mine fixed the lens, after that the camera does not works and display "lens error restart camera". I already try the seven recommended possible solution but the problem still.

Lens error,restart camera

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ... Unfortunately, many cameras that fall prey to this can only be corrected by professional repair. But, here are some things that you can do that may correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty, they're worth a try.

I have a canon A590 & i accidently dropped it.. the lens got stuck but i put it back in place now the lens wont fully extend

It sounds to me like the gears that extend and retract the lens have been damaged, they are made of plastic and are easily broken. Replacement gears are available on a "well known auction site" that everyone should be familiar with.

Canon powershot A590 displayes lens error, restart camera.

I had this problem. Nothing was lodged between the body and lens, restarting multiple times did nothing, cleaning, torquing, twisting over several days - nothing.

So, figuring "what could it hurt?" I just smacked it on the heel of my hand a couple times. Now it works.

firm percussive maintenance saves the day once again.
