Question about Turbo Air 49 cu. ft. / 1388 liter Commercial Freezer MSF-49NM

I have an electrical burn smell inside the 49sd, all seems to be working... just the smell that is stronger inside.

This is the web site for your manual for your unit. I've had some situations where some rubber type insulation has melted but I've not experienced any problem other than it makes a mess. Hope this helps.

Very bad smell coming from my Samsung refrigerator

most refrigerators have a small drainage hole leading from the inside rear of the compartment to an overflow container behind the unit, pull the unit away from the wall and check if the liquid in the container has become stagnant, if so simply clean it out and run a small amount of bleach down the hole to disinfect the tube.

Cause for burning smell from lower back of upright freezer

your freezer might be having blockage on the drain pipe thus not allowing water to flow on the drain tray if the drain tray is mounted on the compressor and its dry then the compressor or the condensor pipes are burning the drain tray. the solution to this problem is to service your freezer

My turbo air freezer iced in coil i unplug over night and i plug back and work normal about 3 to 4 day and then iced in coil again

Defrost element has had it or timer will not shut unit off, check both, if both ok, check thermo fuse.

Unit is off and will not come back have checked power source and it is ok.

does the compressor make any noise at all? If not, there is a control problem. If it does make noise I need further info and details. Let me know.

There's an electrical short circuit inside that blew a fuse. How do I work on it? It started by an electrical burn for about an hour then blew the fuse.,

youneed teast equipment like a volt ohm meter to start truely i think you should have a pro out to see if your compressor did not burn out

Msf-49nm freezer will not go below 34 degrees farenhight

Change the temp control,check to see if it is iced up on the evaporator

Compressor very hot on Kenmore 7.5 c.f. upright freezer. It is too hot to touch and smells like burning paint, but stayed cold inside. Wondering if this is a bad compressor and about how much it costs to...

Compressors will normally run hot to the touch, but should not have a burning smell. If the compressor does need to be replaced you would be better off getting a new freezer. Compressor replacement with the labor can run into more than a new freezer.

Burning Smell

Keep it unplugged and look for burned wires, or rubber wires hardened from extreme heat. This will be a good start in finding what is going wrong. One more thing to check is if the compressor is heating up after running for a while. Let it run for 20 min or so, shut off the power and feel the compressor. Is it hot?
