Password I need to find a way to retrievet the password for my Microsoft Broadband Networking Wireless Base Station MN-500.

you might have put in the wrong password or user id check to make sure you have put these in correctly first make sure the caps lock is on/off what ever applies to your user and password id that you provided to your ISP
also
make sure your routers settings are correct ie:password user name,firewall settings to allow your internet to connect
last resort ring your ISP internet sevice provider get them to check your modem for internet access online

When you get to the setup page of the router, look for Wireless tab, then Wireless Security. Select WPA-Personal or PSK and type your password on the passphrase or passkey box. Save the settings. That's it, your wireless network is secured

You'll needing to access the configuration page of the router? if you are using a router on the network. The IP address (Example 192.168.0.1) under on the advance tab you will a port forwarding to open the ports of the MN-500 wireless base station.

Note: you'll needing to call your wireless base station manufacturer to gather the ports to open on the router.

do this to change from routing mode to bridging mode, which allows your MN-500 to act as a wireless access point. Important: If you follow the procedures I've listed below instead of the procedures documented in the MN-500 User Guide, you will not lose the ability to administer the MN-500. This will give you the ability to change the SSID, channel, and encryption key if needed without performing a factory reset of the base station and starting from scratch. 1. While logged into the BSMT, click the Local Area Network link and access the Settings page. 2. Change the IP address from the default (192.168.2.1) to another IP in the same range and set the DHCP server to disabled using the list. Click Apply. In the example shown above, I've changed the IP to 192.168.2.252. Wait for all lights to turn green on the base station. 3. Open the BSMT again using the new IP. Use your Web browser and navigate to http://192.168.2.252 and enter your password if prompted. You will not be able to open the BSMT from the Microsoft Broadband Networking Utility (BNU). 4. Click Security, and then click Network Mode. 5. Click Bridging mode, and then click Apply. 6. Disconnect your computer from the MN-500 but do not disconnect the power from the MN-500 because it may take several minutes for the hardware to restart in access point (bridging) mode.
