Acura RSX-type S where is the reset botton on a Bose 6 disc in-dash cd player. I have a CD stuck in the CD player. Need help getting it. Everything I read is telling me to push the reset button.
Possible security issue. Check owners manual. If aftermarket player, some had a small hole on front panel with a reset button. Check player manual. Possible digital lockup, pull fuse so unit is dead for a minute, reinstall fuse and try unit. Did you try loading a cd?
cd reset can be one of two things, its either a complete memory reset, or its a cd text reset.
some players have both included in the same button. PS. check for loose ground and power wires, as this problem may short out the entire player.
good luck
Hi, First press and hold Track-Up and Mode buttons at same time on unit for three seconds to reset disc player, then check if cd get release. In some cases, performing a reset on the MCD6 may resolve your problem. First try resetting the MCD6 player by pressing the TRACK UP and POWER buttons at the same time. If that does not work, remove the plastic front cover by pulling straight out and press the RESET button below the keypad. If your MCD6 player still does not operate, please take off cover from cd player and try to manually release wedged cd in unit. If loading gears worn out then nothing will help to fix the unit, please contact local repair shop or M&S Systems at (214).358-3 196 Hope these info will help you. Let me know if you have any question. Thanks.
Try resetting it. Also if it won't reset using the reset button found behind the faceplate. Take off the negative battery cable under the hood this should reset everthing. Then replace it. If it is old and the motor is having trouble kicking the cd out then stick a used no good cd in on top of the other cd and use it to apply pressure to the cd in the player then pull it out after pressing eject
Well if the cd player has a reset button push it and it might kick the cd out on it's own. But if it dont then try by removing the battery cable for 1 minute. When you power most electronics they go through a self diagnostic and might just eject the cd. If that dont work then there is only two other things you can do. 1 is to take a small pair of needle nosed pliers and CAREFULLY remove the cd. But this also takes the chance that you might hit something vital and trash the cd player! 2. Uninstall the cd player and remove the top And carefully push the cd out the same way it was put in. If you do get the cd out of the player then the first thing you should do is to put in a laser eye cleaning cd and clean the player. Then see if it comes out by itself. If it does not then it is time to buy a new cd player. KENWOOD cd players are one of the few that come with a reset button that will reset the deck and remove the cd automaticly. This is a very nice option. Good luck
The security CD is the 1st CD you put in after reset.
For example: If you go to the shop and have the radio reset. On the way home you put in Jimi Hendrix, that CD becomes your security CD.
You better have that CD the next time you change your battery, or you'll be going back to the shop to have your radio reset.
