A programable cable. I have never heard of one. Cables contain wire not microprocessors.

If it is an older pro 2052 they dont scan trunked and conventional at the same time. The newer models do both.
I'm not sure what tear they changed it but search Google for an answer.

There's no keyboard lock function on the PRO-2052, so your unit is likely suffering from a logic glitch that will require a RESET. This simple procedure will restore your scanner to its original factory configuration, which means that it will erase/delete every bit of data that you've programmed into it.

To RESET the PRO-2052,
- Power the unit OFF
- Press and hold the 2 and 9 keys while you power the unit ON

The message CLEAr will display for about 5 seconds to confirm the action.

DO NOT power the unit OFF while the CLEAr message is displayed.

the aircraft band is am while the rest of the bands are fm so i would guess its in the am oscillator or detector circuits or the power supply feeding them. this would be a fix for a technician.
