my HP w1907 flat screen keeps shutting off after playing a game, but does it frequently when changing browsers also. The blue lite stays on, if I click and return it back on blue the monitor opens for one second. Also I can't return the screen resolution back to its original setting, which is 1440x900 because any browser home page has a 4"white space on both sides of the monitor. I can't hit my auto selectbutton because that causes the problem. I spent $60.00 for tech support but no help on fixing the problem. One tech directed to buy hardware helper, that was about$30.00! I just keeps directing me to my original chipset setting which I told the tech that's where my problem started! My daily important update keeps popping up with it,so where's the HP support when you paid for it? Problem still not resolved. Joe...aka [email protected],,I bought the HP monitor and tower together,so it's a HP PROBLEM
You may have problem in the logic board (the right board in the first picture), bad firmware in the ROM chip, which there is not much you can do to reload the firmware. You can open it up and inspect the inside. http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/HP%20F1703/
Hi To check the monitor, Please remove the VGA Cable from the back of the Cabinet or Tower. The connector will looks Blue in Color. Monitor will pop up with Connect cable message. If you see that message it shows the monitor is fine. Please check the Motherboard connections Tx.
Think I fixed it.. My monitor kept flashing autoconfig and shaking a little, so I went to control panel - clicked on system - clicked Hardware - clicked on device manager - clicked display adapters - and updated the driver. Re-booted computer..
So far so good... Fingers Crossed..
you probably got a loose connection inside you monitor or your cable is loose, check both ends
1. check the end that goes to the video card
2. chec kthe end that goes into the monitor
3. if that does not shore it up it maybe a short inside so you may want to check that.
d problem is in a transistor costing little, situated near d monitor's
osd control ic (microprocessor), it is probably short....[refer the
connection n area around the front panel cn connector and crystal clock
generator]..beware u must b a professional
These messages appear during if the video cable becomes disconnected or damaged.(most likely you will need to replace it) Turn off your monitor and reconnect the video cable; then turn on both your computer and the monitor. If your monitor screen remains blank after using the previous procedure, check your video controller and computer system; your monitor is functioning properly
