I have had the same problem. I removed all electrical, or magnetic items on or above the T.V. set. It lessened in a week, and was almost gone in a month.

Wavy horizontal lines across the screen

It sounds that the main power supply section to your TV has the fault. The horizontal thik lines that appears crawling down across the screen should be of video 'HUM'. Have you replaced the main filter capacitor at the power supply section? If not, replace it along with the main rectifier. The AC power is rectifed by a bridge and applied ot this main filter capcitor. It will have a capacitance value between 120 to 350MFD 450VDC. Check this section. Measure the rectifed DC voltage acorss this main filter capacitor. It should be around 350VDC, if your home power supply line is 220VAC. If it is 110AC, this DC voltage will be around 165VDC; and it should be. If rectified DC voltage found lower than the input AC voltage, replace the rectifier bridge. In some sets, this bridge section have four diodes. Some other circuits, a bridge rectifier stalk may be used.

Horizontal white lines 27A43.

You have some bad capacitors. They are located very near and next to your vertical IC. I would guess you would have to replace maybe four of these! Thanks for asking!

Green screen with red and blue wavy lines

This is "NOT" meant as "expert" advice...as this is not my area...HOWEVER...I see no one has answered this yet...AND I got some good help from here a year or so ago that worked for me!

When I had a similar "green screen" problem with my SONY projection tv...the guy helped me by having me make "MINOR" adjustments to the red/blue/green etc knobs behind the panel. These were three small black plastic pieces and needed less than a 1/16 of an inch adjustment...try adjusting one at a time and giving it few seconds after each adjustment. It worked for me..at least for a while (till my wife gave it away to a friend because it was "too big"...ah! women!!! LOL)...hope this helps. (NON-expert help!)

Wavy lines

Are the wavy lines horizontal or vertical? If they are horizontal and up near the top of the screen it could be 60HZ interference from a power cord running over the cable from the DVD player to the TV. There could also an internal breakdown of the shielding by the power supply of the DVD player. If the lines are vertical it is likely the cable or maybe the input jack on the TV. Could be a number of things.

Mitsubishi VS-45607 45" Big Screen

Good Day, Delano1981;

It may cure the problem but I would suspect the 9 Volt source
CHECK C2P05 100 UFD 16 V OFF PIN 3 OF IC2P01 AND
IC2P01 PART # 270P466020 (9-VOLT REGULATOR). BOTH
ARE ON THE SIGNAL PCB.

This should resolve your TV"s condition.

Good Luck, big IRISH.

I am told my Hitachi 61SDX01B (UltraVision/Ultrascan) has "Green Geometry"

Sounds like a convergence promblem.

Here are some of the most common symptoms of a convergence problem.

Screen looks 3D
One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
Screen is bowed in or warped.

Here is a quick test....

Using your original remote go-to the tv settings then goto the convergence or magic focus section.

Try to adjust the convergence.

You should be able to move them up, down, left, and right.

If you can't move them in all directions your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.

Its a fairly easy fix on the Hitachi sets.

You can get a repair kit that includes all the parts from www.TvRepairKits.com. The kit includes a photo instruction guide, original Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, etc.
Everything you need to fix it yourself.

Hitachi 61SDX01B

The problem is called green geometry. There is nothing wrong w/the green pix tube.It is critical to get the green geometry

accurate because the red and blue convergence overlays on

the green. If you have more than an alignment issue, that will need

repair before adjustments are attempted.

Sylvania 6427FF TV displays wavy verticle lines at top of the screen.

I would suspect defective filter capacitors in the sweep circuits as well as the power supply source voltages.
