I have an Envision AOC 32 tv monitor and want to hook my WII up to it, It has yellow white and red wires. The back of the monitor has HMDI, PC Cable, and coax connectors. It also has speaker out puts and about 8 connectors the WII out put can go into, one set of 4 has 2 red and 2 white, and one set of 4 has Yellow Red Green and blue. I can only play plug and play so much before my patience wears out. Please also tell me how to Reprogram the channel sellect with the control because I cant seem to figure that one out either. Oh is this AV Sinput or some other thing....

Yellow Is VIDEO, Red & White is your AUDIO. (Stereo). They should go color to color on the TV's AV input. This is AV, and you use 3 wires to connect this way.
The Red, Green, & Blue, is called COMPONENT, & is ONLY VIDEO, the AUDIO, still must use Red & White. So to connect with Component you use 5 wires, altogether, 3 for Video, 2 for Audio.
Plug them in color to color & choose the right INPUT on the TV, and turn on your input device.

I cant connect my wii to my tv. can you give me instructions how?

Most TVs have a yellow video and a white audio and red audio input. The Wii comes with a cable to connect to a TV with a yellow, white and red RCA cable. Plug in the large block end of this cable to the Wii (rectangle block) and the other end into the TV using the yellow plug to the yellow input jack and the white plug to the white input jack and red to red. Select on the TV using the TV remote, the input where the Wii is hooked up. This is the standard way.

I have a vizio HDMI DTV telvision, and a sony surround sound system, I am trying to hook my wii to this to watch movies, the problem is I have hooked the yellow cable from the wii to the surround sound, I...

If you're using the HDMI cable with 5 wires, the red, blue and green wires are for video and the red and white wires are for audio. If your TV has a component IN RCA jacks, they connect there. If you're using the 3 wire cable, yellow is for video, and the red and white is for audio. You will NOT get HDMI pictures with this setup so you will have to go into the input selections and choose composite video input on the TV menu. Get a connection diagram from Visio's website or look in your owners manual if you have one.

.Connect them to the corresponding inputs

I found a better way and it works fine. I have a new 32 inch Emerson, with only one composit hood up ( which won't work with the wii) 2 HDMI's ( again does not hook up to the wii, the monitor hook up for PC, red and white ( yellow plus is not there it's for a stereo they told me), and the usb hook up ( which is more for pictures I was told by the company). The answer was to hook my RCA plus to the red and white under the composite, then hook the yellow into the green plug of the composite, and behold- my will now works fine.

Component Wii comes in as B&W. TV and PC both work well

yellow has to go to yellow. Green = Y which only allows for luminance and chrominance. Hook the wii into a yellow connection and you will have no issues. red white and yellow are composite, not component.

No sound from the Wii.

Assuming you are using the standard Wii cable which has a red, white and yellow connector, you should connect them to the yellow, red and white connectors on the back. They should be together. The red, green and blue that are bundled togehter are component inputs for hd.

How to hook up wii to surround sound

Put all the wires to the tv. Now you need another A\V cable (yellow, red, white) only use red and white from, audio out on tv to audio in on surround system and set it to TV. OR Put the red and white from Wii to surround system and the yellow to the tv. this way you have to use surround to hear it. The other way you can use the tv or both. The first way is ideal if you have an extra cable.
