I have a Panasonic AG-DVX100A Digital Video Camera which would not power on neither with batteries or power supply from an outlet.Trying to find the schematic for the power supply

This is normal. The sound is the auto-focus coil moving back and forth. When the camera is powered up, the coil will be energized and will not make the noise.

Had the same problem. It's an internal flex wire connecting LCD with camcorder. Got from the repair shop did it by miself and it's like knew. It's very common in sony. Good luck

If the recorded tapes playback ok on the camera and not ok on another devices, you need to readjust the playback on this camera using a tape which playbacks fine on the other devices.
This means that is a small difference on the tape transport.
So when the supply and takeup post rollers readjusted and the audio and video playback are good, then your camera is fine.
You can open the cassette cover and spray inside the upper left side of mechanism(closer to the back) with contact cleaner spray,because there is a rec inhibit switch.If it's not damaged and just dirty you solve your problem ,but if is damaged it needs replacement.
