A couple of days ago I turned on my brand new (about 6 weeks old) Samsung 50'' plasma pn50b650 I noticed an imperfect picture at the top of the screen. Upon closer inspection, there were about 4-5 alternating dead rows of pixels stretching horizontally across the entire width of the screen. e.g. Starting at the very first top row on the screen dead, ok, dead, ok, dead, ok, etc. Wondering if it would help, I used the screen burn protecting which scrolls black and white bars across vertically across the screen but the dead pixles were still there. They seem to be without power because they are blacker than the black of the screen burn protector. WTF? Why does this happen? Can it be prevented in the future? It hasn't been overused, I use it an average of about 1 hour per day which included game play time. Thank you!

Hi, I bought a Samsung ST30 a couple of weeks ago, and have only been using it one evening so far. A couple of days ago I was about to use it again, but I noticed that it had runned out of charge, so I...

Hi.

The camera is obviously faulty and needs to be returned to the manufacturer or the store for replacement or repair. The warranty will cover any cost so will be done free of charge.

You have every right to be angry as it is brand new.

I have a three and a half year old Pioneer 50 inch Plasma TV. I have been very happy with the picture till now. However this week the picture appears a little dull. White color appear like off white. I...

Age... Pure and simple. The backlighting and the display panel start to fail and the white is the first you start to notice, its probably not going to last a lot longer. Plasma tv's are nearly impossible to repair now days due to parts availability and service information, plasma tv's just went the way of the dodo bird, its all LCD now days. Ever time i get a plasma tv in for repair its generally headed for the recycling dumpster.

50 " Samsung Plasma TV

Get the tech supplier to tell to the manufacture and the store what he told you.

Physical damage on any electronic device is very hard to have serviced under warranty. I have never seen a plasma display crack on its own. But, anything can happen.

I once saw a man drop a newly bought plasma TV in a parking lot outside from where he bought it and the screen broke. He never even made it home from the store!

Maybe you should contact a lawyer or someone who can give you legal advice about how to proceed with this. In different countries and different states the consumer protection laws are different.

NO VIDEO

I have a Samsung 50" plasma, that has been blacking out over the last 6 months. A 9/2005 set. Now its practically unwatchable as it happens 3 times in an hour. Its not heat related - I have a high volume 9" fan activated on TV power on. Turning the set offf/on usually makes it come back for a now short while. Considering to go put it in the back of my pickup and park it in front of Best Buy and discourage Samsung purchases. This is the 2nd Samsung TV I've purchased (the other a 32" tube) I gave to my folks a couple years ago and its gone bad as well. Samsung product may look good, but their video engineers are not.
