Most likely (since it is not the muffler) is the donut where the ezhaust pipe hooks onto the exaust manifold....or the manifold cracked or needing a new gasket

2014 Altima -I got an oil change at Midas (worst mistake ) about two months ago. Apparently the guy half assed it and my car started smoking under the hood after I drove off. Brought it back left again and...

Their must be some oil stored somewhere and it is dripping on your exhaust manifold, but never pressure wash your engine, could cause worse problems,in time the smell will go away, just be patient. It will burn off in time.

I just fixed my flex pip on my hyundai accent now I have a loud exhaust noise my check engine light is on saying I have an oxygen leak but took it to a mechanic in they told me that I don't have a exhaust...

Take it to a muffler shop-that mechanic must have a tin ear. I thought my Sentra had a small exhaust leak (slightly loud exhaust noise) from a previously fixed exhaust connection. But a muffler shop guy showed me I had a rusted out catalytic converter. I would suspect your flex pipe may still be leaking.

2001 Subaru Outback has super strong exhaust smell coming into the cabin. I also see a small hole in the muffler. Could the hole be causing exhaust to come in through the vents or is it something else...

Its possible, but usually what you smell inside the cabin is coming in thru the fresh air intake in front of the windshield. The source is usually in the engine compartment.

Tacoma is smoking from under the hood and heavily out the exhaust pipes

I am wondering if you have a blown head gasket. That lets antifreeze into the piston area. Should get it checked out. There has to something wrong for your radiator to be going down like that. If anti freeze gets into the piston area you will seize your engine.

Exhaust noise

Could be a hole in your header, you can either take off your headers completely ( pain depending on your car ) and check them for holes, or you can take it somewhere and have them checked. Other than that it could be a hole in your exhaust/exhaust manifold.

Is it important what size muffler and resonator, is replaced on a 2001 chrysler town and country V-6 engine? Sadly, I took my van to have a new muffler put on it. When the mechanic, called he also said...

Possible results are , increased fuel use, reduction in power and you may fail noise emissions (too much noise), some after market exhaust systems are designed to give improvements but these are general much more costly than standard fittings. I would not be happy myself and would want it put right, Not sure which country you are in so can't advise on trading standards, but in uk items must be fit for purpose or you get your money back.

Cant find o2 sensor looking for upstream bank 1 any one want to help?

It should be located near the outlet in the rear exhaust manifold, ahead of the converter. The downstream sensor 2 is the one located behind the converter or sometimes in the rear of the converter body.

ok exhaust smells tend to intensify in cold weather. your vehicle is using more fuel the colder it gets. once the engine warms up does the smell go away? if it does, then i wouldn't worry.

2005 Chevy Impala exhaust smell

neither one of these would cause gas to leak. sure it is not coolant ? if you think it is gas it is not safe to drive car as it could catch on fire. possible cause would be a leaking injector.
