Not only will you find a database for all 50 states but there are forums for each state, and selected live audio feeds. It is a great website/reference. The Radio Reference Database United States
3. Find the county you live in. The S.A.M.E. code should be listed in the "SAME#" column. If you have two codes for your county, it probably means you have more than one frequency channel for your county. No problem, all you have to do is check the frequency channels for your county. Whatever frequency receives the best reception for your region (for example 162.450), try that on the radio along with punching in its S.A.M.E code.

if it has a wx or weather button press that to see if the scanner is working ok, if you get the weather radio ok then you can get your local freqencies at www.radioreference.com click database, then your state, then your county and a list will come up of your local frequencies.
L live in Haywood county NC and I am running the following Radioshack scanners: Pro82, Pro95 and a Pro97. When will the rebanding take these scanners down. Also will the Pro97 beable to be rebanded as it really is a good scanner.
