Ok, I had a chat with you yesterday before my link became unresponsive. however, i still felt it my obligation to provide a solution by adding on where i had reached.
I need you to use an ethernet cable, log onto the router, and make some changes. the router ip is http://192.168.2.1. Then click LOGIN.(By default, the password is smcadmin. The default is case
sensitive.)
Regards
It appears the SMC router is faulty. The router is getting an IP address from the IPS because they can can PING your router and get a reply BUT the router's PPoE/DSL light is not on, it means it is not connecting with the ISP's WEB server and therefore you cannot get into the Internet.
You can try to and reset the SMC router and configure the SMC router again using the setup URL http://192.168.2.1/index.stm
It may fix your problem but if the PPoE/DSL light still does not light then my guess is the SMC router is faulty.
You will need a new wireless router.

The router worked a few days ago. Can i change any settings on thehttp://192.168.2.1/index.stm which logs onto the SMC network settings?
