U have to check the the correct polarity of the cell and the calci.... put the cell in all combination and press ON key.... if still u have problem ur calci might have some internal problem that u can't solve.......

Quadratic equation fx-82ms

You can do it the same way people did it before calculators were invented. Just use the quadratic formula: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quadratic_formula, and let the calculator handle the arithmetic. Some sophisticated calculators have generalized equation solvers that can handle equations much more complicated than the quadratic, but the fx-82 isn't one of them.

How do i gat into my casio calculator fx82ms to change the battery.

Remove the six screws holding the back, then remove the screw holding the battery cover.

Follow the instructions in Section 19 of the manual.

It is most likely that the angle unit is not set to correspond to the angle unit you are using in your problems. If your problems call for angle unit in degrees, set the calculator to do its calculations in degrees. If your problems require the radian angle unit, set your calculator accordingly.

Hi, how do i use casio fx82ms to raise a figure eg. to the power of 4?There's no xto the power of y button....

There should be key marked [Y to the x] or [^]. If exponent is negative use the change sign key (-) not the MINUS sign.You will have to use the [^] key if you calculate roots of order higher than 3. Example 7th root of 353 =(353)[^](1/7)
