Is the th8320u 1008 thermostat PROGRAMMABLE?

Yes the Honeywell TH8320U1008 touchscreen thermostat is programmable. See https://customer.honeywell.com/en-US/pages/product.aspx?cat=HonECC+Catalog&pid=TH8320u1008/U for the operator's manual. Click on the Literature tab and scroll down to the Owners Manual section. If your thermostat isn't working, make sure that it is set for heating or cooling, as needed. Then check the batteries, the wiring and the HVAC system. (The thermostat has a default set of heating/cooling periods.)

It's not uncommon for one of the wires going to the thermostat to break. Find the undamaged section of that wire and secure it under the appropriate contact spot. Make sure all of the wires are positioned at the correct contacts.

I hope this helps.

The honeywell thermostat I installed th8110r1008 system is in off also fan is in off but fan starts Up ?

There is no off selection for the fan. It likely has on or auto, but, it possibly has "circ." This will randomly bring the fan on with no call for heating or cooling. Keep your fan selector in the auto position, system to whatever you need!

Go to instuctions and find procedure to go to Advanced Settings. I think it is #170 to identfy the system you have if heat pump go to 190 and set to A/C Mode 0
