You are correct. You are right about the power supply and replacing with led hdtv. You will be happy with a Samsung led. Time to upgrade.

Hi.. Sorry to hear that the Picture is freezing.. Here are some of the steps that you can try:
*Try to connect a different video source with the TV like DVD Player, Blu-ray player and check.
*If the issue persists, disconnect the power cord and reconnect to a different wall outlet without the Power surge protector.
* If the issue persists, you need to contact the nearest service center to fix this.

How many blinks are you getting?. Blinking codes tells a service tech what section of the unit is manfunctioning.

Problem is in the secondary power supply which provides power to high-voltage and scanning sections of main board. This is called BOARD D, and has the high-voltage section, flyback transformer, and control IC on it.

Can't be fixed by user, needs service tech and new part, around $300

Its not matter of service code only. You also need service data to fix it. But question is, how data is being corrupted? It seems hardware failure in your TV set.

I don't think it's your picture tube, but it may be a problem in your high voltage power supply. If there is no anode voltage then there is no raster (light from the screen) or picture. If it is your high voltage section the you may want to think about taking the set to a shop because of the danger of electrical shock.
