Hi,my speakers stopped working.. I plugged in a headphone and it stopped working..it was working fine before

If neither the headphones or the speakers work, then there may be an issue with the sound card drivers, so I'd uninstall them and reinstall the drivers. If headphones work but speakers do not, take off the hinge cover, see if one of the wires are broken (Happened on mine) if so you can splice, but the are is close work.

You may need to go into the sound properties and then to deviceto change the settings to enable the speakers and change it from headphones to speakers.

I find that there is a problem with your headphone speaker.
Try with some other headphone, even if it is not working, then you need to take it to the service center.

Dimension 4700 my headphones work fine but i cant
Are you have the headphones and speakers both pluged in? When you plug in headphones the speakers get muted. You need to change your sound settings back to your sound card if you use usb headphones. The plug on the front of the 4700 also automatically mutes the speakers.

I really don't know, because some of the newer gadgets come with fixed volume control due to law suits, ect. Try to see if you can bring you TV menu up and see what the sound setting is.
