Files don't delete

I use my player for recorded books from the library.  After deleting some book files recently while connected to the computer, these books appear deleted on computer screen but are still on the player.  Is there any other way to delete? They are taking up space for new books.

    I have put a book on my surface computer and I want to delete it. I can't find where to do that

Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release,right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.

When you delete a folder from WMP library you will be prompted to confirm that action and given a choice to delete the Files within the folder only from the library or from the library and the computer.
Choose to delete only from the library and files will will not be deleted.

Audio book not going into audiobook section on sansa clip

Hi,
There are two ways to delete files on your Sansa player.  You can delete them from the player directly or using a PC. 

METHOD 1 - Delete files directly on the device 
For View, Fuze, Clip, e200v2, and c200v2 only
1. In playback mode, press the Submenu button. 
2. Select Delete

METHOD 2 - Delete files using a PC 
For all other Sansa players: 
1. Connect your device to the PC. 
2. Select Open device to view files using Windows Explorer on initial connection. 
3. Locate the folder where your files are stored. 
4. Click to select the files you want deleted and delete the files
