How can I remove my neighbor from my network

Easiest thing to do, Change the password to your router. Once this is done, it will prevent your neighbor from any further access to your router and of course prevent internet access. Most all routers are simply a local web address for access. Example: 192.168.1.1 typed inside a browser address pane will take you inside the router. Check your router for setup procedures.

Can I connect my ps3 to the internet using a secured connection from my neighbor with no router?

If you mean, can you use your neighbor's wireless with your PS3, then yes. Potentially. First, you'll want to have the permission of your neighbor, for legal reasons. Not to mention if their wireless is Secured, your going to need their assistance in connecting the PS3 to that router. If you have their blessing, then just follow the steps on the PS3 to set up a connection, and have your neighbor in the room or on the phone to give you the information when you need it.

If your trying to get access without them knowing, don't bother. If the connection is secure, your gonna waste a lot of time for nothing.

How can you use public access on your desktop and netbook with a netgear router and adapter walmart sales lady said it can be done with just the router and adapter setup everything we needed was in the...

Just having the wireless router without connecting it to cable modem or DSL modem will not allow you to get onto the Internet. The wireless card in your computer/laptop will allow you to get onto the Internet at a free public WiFi hot spot location such as McDonalds, Star Bucks, at the airport.
Also the wireless card in your computer/laptop may allow you to connect into an unsecured wireless router from your neighbors, if their wireless router is within range of your computer/laptop but without their permission to use their Internet, it is considered stealing from your neighbor. They have a set download limit from their Internet Service Provider and by you connecting to their ISP you may cause them to exceed their download limit and they would be charged additional costs for every Mega byte over their limit.

How do I lock my Dell TruMobile 2300 wireless router to keep the neighbors from getting access to my wireless internet connection

press win key + r
under run type cmd
on the command prompt type ipconfig
not down your defaut gateway.
type it in your web browser, and then enter the correct user name and password for the router.(i u dont know the user name leave it blank or try admin for both user name and password or its combination o call dell for it)
Create a unique password on your router : Once you have logged into your router, the first thing you should do to secure your network is to change the default password* of the router to something more secure.
This will prevent others from accessing the router and you can easily maintain the security settings that you want. You can change the password from the Administration settings on your router’s settings page. The default values are generally admin / password.
Change your Network’s SSID name:
The SSID (or Wireless Network Name) of your Wireless Router is usually pre-defined as "default" or is set as the brand name of the router (e.g., linksys). Although this will not make your network inherently* more secure, changing the SSID name of your network is a good idea as it will make it more obvious for others to know which network they are connecting to.
This setting is usually under the basic wireless settings in your router’s settings page. Once this is set, you will always be sure that you are connecting to the correct Wireless network even if there are multiple wireless networks in your area. Don’t use your name, home address or other personal information in the SSID name.
This is sufficient to secure your router from other to use it.

Is there anything in a PC that can cause interference with a wireless network? Because firefox ate my earlier question, I'll keep this short: PC used to keep laptop from connecting to internet when it was...

there is nothing inside a PC that will keep it or anything else from connecting to a wireless network. You have to lookout for things that use the same frequency such as cordless phones and believe it or not microwave ovens. both broadcast at 2.4Ghz which is the same frequency wireless routers and access points use. Your problem may also be a neighbor with a wireless router or access point using the same channel. Wireless routers and access points have 11 different channels that they can broadcast on and if you and your neighbor are using the same channel there will be interference. try changing the channel on your wireless router or access point.

The wrieless connection does not hold; the ethernet connection is the only reliable access to the internet. We downloaded driver updates, but the problem continues...even if we are two feet away

Do a wireless scan on your computer and out how many wireless access is in your neighborhood. More than likely that your router is sharing the same wireless channel number as your neighbor's. Go to your router and cheange to opposite of what your neighbor is on.

Hello! My laptop is not able to connect to my Linksys router.

Make sure that your wireless is not secure or you are entering the right password. Also check to see what channel that your wireless is set on and compare that to your neighbors around you. If you and your neighbor have the same channel number set that is your problem. Your neighbor is over powering your own router.

Disable internal wireless network card

Well I would access the BIOS on his laptop and do 2 things. 1) Enable a BIOS password and set it. 2) If the laptop has a BIOS controllable wireless setting , disable it. But this will disable the wireless TOTALLY.

Otherwise you need talk to your neighbor and have them set a security on their wireless router.
