If you have a Whirlpool oven, the F2 E6 error means that the Cancel key line is open. You will need to replace the keypad or the keypad and controller board (if a single assembly) if the keypad doesn't respond to a press of the Cancel Key.
There are no official drivers for CanoScan Lide 30 for Windows XP, so your problem is obvious. I suggest you sending an e-mail at Canon including details about your scanner (date purchased, serial number in text form or scanned) asking them to develop driver set as this model is very trade and at shops since 2006 or 2007.
In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post.

Not sure, but it may be related to the optical assembly... it´s always about the optical assembly lol... Does it display any error message? It can also be something wrong (bent, broken, too much dust) with the blinds-like mechanism where the CD lays down (closed when lid is opened, opened when the lid is closed). So if it can´t "see" the disc, either by a problem on both mechanisms, the spin motor doesn´t starts.
Liberty electronics on ebay have now the ultra-rare DWY1067 optical assembly. Have a check at the sticker on the back of your 700s player, above the barcode. If it was manufactured until 2000-2001 you´ll probably need a DWY1067. After that, you´ll need a DWY1069.
Halo Barbara, Did you mean Pixma MP140/160/150/170/180?. I never hear Canon pixma MP10. Well,it doesn't matter. Did you refill your cartridge?. Error code E6 indicates that ink level is not detected properly by the printer. It usually occurs in refilled cartridge. To fix this problem you need to deactivate ink level detection function by performing following procedure: For MP150/160/170/180: Press START button (Black or Colour) For MP140: Hold down STOP/RESET button for about 9 seconds
