I cant log on my lap top through my friends router she dont know

On your computer (the one connected to the router) open in browser http://192.168.1.1 and log into router's configuration page ... there on the "wireless" section you will find "Wireless security" ... there you can set up the password.
If you don't have access to the configuration page or you have problems setting up the password, you can always reset the router to it's factory settings. To do so you have to find a slightly hidden reset button on your router and push it (with a needle or something).

The access code or password is the encryption key in your wireless router, without this key the wireless router won't allow the laptop/computer to connect to this wireless router.
The WEP, WPA, WPA2 encryption key is in your router's wireless settings. Log into your router and got to the wireless settings, you will need to get the SSID and the encryption key. The easiest thing to do is to reset your router to the factory default settings.
if its a LinkSys router, hold the reset button on the unit for 30 seconds. some D-links have a small hole you can insert a tooth pick or pin in to reset.
Once your router is hard reset, you will not need a password to log-in.
you will need to login and configure a new password.

Each router that offers a "wireless" connection has a unique "net-key" or "network-password".
You'll have to identify the owner of the router, and ask that person for the information.

Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link.
http://192.168.0.1
or
http://192.168.1.1
If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it.
Then it ask for user name and password.
Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank.
Then you can see configuration page of router.
Then click on wireless and then wireless security then change wep password because it is in * or # format then save settings and restart router then you can connect with that code.

first thing is to identify the wireless settings of the router,you need to identify the wireless name (SSID), channel and the encryption you are getting from the airlink router. Next is to make sure that the wireless computer has enabled wireless signal/ or the wireless is on.

after that, you may connecting wirelessly to the computer, right click wireless connection and go to view available wireless networks, try to connect -input the encryption key from you wireless router or password and hit connect.

The only solution for u to login in to the router is to reset the router.

1.If you forgot your password, you must reset your router. Unfortunately this process will change all your settings back to the factory defaults.

2.To reset the router, locate the reset button (hole) on the rear panel of the unit. With the router powered on, use a paperclip to hold the button down for 10 seconds. Release the button and the router will go through its reboot process.

3.Wait about 30 seconds to access the router.

4The default IP address is 192.168.1.1. When logging in, type in the default User Name “admin,” and the
default Password “admin” then click on the OK button to access the web-based manager.

re-configure the your router

1. check your wireless adapter TCP/IP settings if its set into "Obtain as IP address Automatically".
2. if the settings is set as Automatic and your not getting IP address then select "Use the following IP Address"
3. use IP address followed to your router address like if192.168.0.1 in router type 192.168.0.2 or192.168.0.3 just check the next address IP in your network.
4. after typing subnet IP will automatically set
5. type the router IP address as your default gateway
6. click OK to save your new settings

You will need to log into the Router to recieve either the WEP/WPA/WPA-PSK keys from the routers HTTP:// interface Mind tho MACS dont work very well with WEP they do alot better with WPA format
