The Dell Latitude D800 utilizes PC-2100 type memory. The Latitude D800 usually comes standard with 128MB of RAM and supports up to 2GB of RAM. In order to fully maximize your system performance Computer Memory Outlet recommends when upgrading your memory you purchase the largest capacity memory module for one or all memory sockets available. This will ensure you will maximize performance and prevent you from buying memory you cannot use if you decide to upgrade your Dell memory further in the future.
To maximize the memory in your Dell Latitude D800 install the largest capacity memory module.

Some model support pc 2700 but the default configuration from the manufacturer is pc 2100.
There is a conflicting problem with the existing memory pc 2100 and your newly purchased pc 2700
I will advice to use both with same frequency...

You need to replace memory with one who is compatible with that model.

Its DDR 333MHz PC2700. But it was sold as compatible memory for this system. Was I mislead? Do I need to try and exchange it? Or is this really compatible?
