Replacing thermostat what to do with single red wirew/bridge?

We're replacing a MagicStat/32 Honeywell thermostat with a RTH7500D. We have green yellow & white wires going to the new thermostat. On the old thermostat, we have a red wire at RC terminal with bridge going to R. Q: Where do we put red wire on the new thermostat into R terminal or RC terminal & do we leave the bridge in tact?

Yes u leave the bridge intact and just put ur red wire to r or rc and usually they say rh and rc that is for a 2 transformer system which obviously u dont have so leave the wire intact jumped and hook ur red wire up yellow is ur ac wire white is ur heat wire and green is ur fan wire and red is ur 24 volt hot wire all a tstat does is jump that red wire to white for heat green for fan or yellow for ac but make sure ur power to ur unit is off before u change wires or u risk touching wires together and burning up transformer

you need to program the thermostat for the reversing valve "O" it will tell you how to do this in the manual. you will need to chang from "O" to "B" or "B" to "O" depending on how its set.

I'm installing a Honeywell RTH7600B programmable thermostat and replacing a Honeywell T87F2873. The new one calls for a Red, Green, White, and Yellow wire, while I only have a Red, Green White and Blue....

Every thing the same except take your blue wire and replace the yellow for it. So when you hook it to t-stat goes like this

Red to R
White to W
Green to G
Blue to Y
