Computer doesn't recognize Zen V

most computers have lots of USB inputs. my frnt USB cords don't work on my MP3 but I plugged it into my back USB port and it work fine...Just try to use other USB ports

you have to download a disk onto your computer or else try to reset it or try a diffrent USB plug in =]

The first problem is probably a software incompatibility between Creative's software and Windows Media Player version 11. The second problem is possibly a need to replace the battery. 3rd party batteries are about 20 dollars now.

If your Zen V is dead, wont respond to anything, try this, plug it in to the computer, hold the power switch in the on position, THEN trigger the reset button, worked like a charm for mine, I had thought it a lost cause."

1. press reset button, and keep holding reset button down.

2. while holding button down, turn on

do you have media play 11 installed?
try it on another pc and install new firmware

Hmmm when you plug it in to put music on it do you use the sync manager thing? thats what i use and sometimes it says theres no player connected even though there is, so i just keep plugging and unplugging until it works.. but then if that doesnt work i just go to  "Zen v series media explorer" it like lets you upload music there too.. hope you find something that works!
