Audio output problem in Desktop motherboard

I am having Intel 845gvsr motherboard in my home pc. I am able to capture audio but it does not play back. If I burn in CD and play in my music player I can hear the sound ...I had installed AC97 from the motherboard CD.

could you help please.

    With Hvpatel's help my PC's sound out problem is solved. However now only one speaker produces the out put. In head phone only the left speaker is working.

    I have a sound problem. There are no sound feedback. The sound and audio devices properties in control panel says there is no sound devices.
    I have installed AC97 but at end of installation there is a error code10.

    Can you help me with this problem?

If you use back panel sound

so need to jumper setting on mobo
jumper short 1-2 , 5-6 , 8-9

audio jumper is near by front side pci slot 1,2

I want vga&sound drivers for 3260
The eMachines 3260 is a UK model. I don't see driver download support at the UK site.

However the eMachines 3260 uses an Intel D845GVSR motherboard. Let's go to Intel Support, and see if the graphics, and audio drivers are available;

On this page select the Operating System you are using. I am going to use Windows XP, as an example. (Home Edition or Pro Edition, doesn't matter)

Shows 7 drivers.
Among them are;
1) Intel Extreme Graphics Driver for 845 Chipset-Based Intel Desktop Boards

2) Audio: Realtek* AC97 Audio Driver

Download AND install these two drivers.

I have intel 845GVSR motherboard for P4 CPU and i am unable to install audio driver from Intel CD ROM So how to find & install audio driver?
Check your "BIOS" to see whether the audio device is enabled!!
For the Intel Mobo 845GVSR is a discontinued product by INTEL, and also check your CMOS CR2032 3V battery if it need to be replaced.

If you have the MOBO CD all the drivers are there but maybe the drivers are outdated.

Intel 845 GVSR drivers for windows vista
i don't know weathere you are awared of this or not...

to get the 32 bit graphic on 82845gv motherboard go to BIOS setting and change your video frame buffer size to 8 mb and agp aeperture to 256 mb and let the system boot... you will get 32 bit graphic with 1024 x 748 screen resolution... i have changed and believe me it is working

but only problem is that you will hardly play any game or use bubble screen saver..
