My garmini nuivi 710 went dead just like that in the middle of a journey.Told me was not getting pwer.The charger light is on.Bought it a few mths ago.Your advice?

it doesnt get better by itself. Despite having a green light doesnt mean it is charged. try changing the battery

ok so what u basically do is just keep the charger in the usb port. then take the battery out then plug it back in. this totally works!

the i880 & the i885 needs a quality charger, if you get a original Motorola charger IT WILL WORK. There are some aftermarkets that will work, but not many.

My phone had the same problem and it was a battery charge problem. I bought an external charger and another battery and now everything works fine but I have two batteries and an external charger, the phone doesn't charge the batties.

I think something's goofy with these headsets. I bought 2 of them recently (one for me and one for my g/f). Within a week or so, she told me hers just "died" - and she couldn't get the blue light to come on when it was plugged into the charger.

Mine acted dead too, just a day or so before she told me about her problem. On mine, I think I just held down the "volume down" button and the main button at the same time for about 15 seconds and it appeared to "reset" it. That apparently didn't work for hers, but oddly enough - after a few days, we plugged it into my charger and it started working again!

dunno. try to have it on the charger, and at the same time try to push and hold the power button. try it a couple times. my v180 from motorola did that and it seemed to work.
