I opened it up and there were not any bulging or leaking ones back there. This TV went completely out during thanksgiving and we researched everything and they told me the same thing and it ended up being fuses. I had purchased extra fuses but this did not fix the problem. I spent over 1 hour looking over everything and seen NOTHING wrong with it. Any other ideas.

I did what you suggested and there was nothing wrong with any of them. I seen nothing what so ever out of place. I had this problem back at thanksgiving but it completely quit working and I wrote in and they told me the same thing but it ended up being a $2 fuse and it fixed it. I changed out all the fuses and it is still the same. Any other ideas.

NO...I checked everything for over 1 hour. There were not any leaking or bulging and I could not find anything that looked out of place. Over thanksgiving the entire TV quit working and we wrote in and they told us the same thing and my brother in law figured out that it was a $2 fuse and it fixed it. I also replaced all the fuses today and the TV is still the same. Any other ideas.

I took the back off and did not find any of the transducers leaking or swollen at all. Found no black spots anywhere or anything out of place. I also replaced all fuses and still no screen. Any other ideas.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. A plasma TV is a very hard working device. It is working harder than any TV that has been built before, and as a result it produces a lot of heat. 75% of technical problems in plasma TV's are caused by overheating problems. X, Y sustain, buffer boards controls picture, fires the gas, and many others functions. When either of these boards goes bad common problems include negative image, no image, vertical or horizontal stripes on picture, turns on and than turns off, and many more. You’ll need to open the back off the TV and check for any swollen/bulged/leaky capacitors on these boards and replace whichever has gone bad. All this is only recommended if you have electrical expertise & know how to solder/re-solder components as these units contain high voltages even when switched off. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Please check for cold solder joints, also check the Z-sus Board.
