Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console

1 Answer

Playstation 3 games not connecting to the internet

I have two PS3 games (Call of Duty 4 and Burnout Paradise) then when I load the games while I'm connected to the internet tell me that I have to download the latest update for that game in order to play online. When I click "ok" it signs me off, restarts, signs me back in. When this happens, the download file comes up for a millisecond, then i get an error screen telling me that the operation has been canceled. The numerical code for this is all 0's. What's the reason for this and how do i get those games to connect for online play?

I have Burnout Paradise and it won't work it tells me the region code is wrong for this console

Consoles and games all have region codes and if the codes do not match then the two will most likely not work togather.

Playstation3 needs reliable, stable, and quite fast internet connection. Check with your internet service provider to get better speeds and this will solve your online gaming problems

X-Box 360 Burnout Paradise - Burnout Bike update

Okay, I figured it out myself, if anyone has this problem, with the new update you should get dynamic weather and bikes with day-to-night play. If not, for me it didn't get the update all the way, so I had to re-download update v1.7. To make sure you have the update, when you start the game it should have "Burnout Paradise" in a blue logo type, before the update it was red, and you will have the choice to change from cars to bikes.

Software Update Error

I have just recently purchased my PS3 but what the problem sounds like is a link failure. I work on computers for a living and have seen this problem alot when the link wasn't fully developed or is missing critical information. I would try surfing the internet with your PS3 and going to the games web site to get the download or some other 3rd party website and try downloading it and installing it that way. You can find almost anything with a serach engine, so if you don't know a direct website then try that.

If that doesn't work ask some of your friends if they have ever updated that game, because I have noticed that after some of the PS3's firmware updates some older games will not update because a conflict in information.

hope that helps!!
p.s. my favorite candy is reeces lol
