Asher fadida and alll,

The issue:
solid red error light?
HD70 "die's" after few min with strage noise?
flickers different colors before complete self shutdown?

well try this....

Before replacing your bulb, fan or any other component try first cleaning your optoma realy good!! HD70 doesnt comes with any kind of filter so you can imagine the amound of dust can be.
The most importent thing is to blow away any dust from your color wheel + the sensor attached to it .

for farther troubleshoting clean your fan's.
there are 2 fan's insinde the HD70.

probably the most problems will be solved by cleening the color wheel!!
if the problem is not solved ,chack the lemp and the fans if they work properlly.

For fan replacing:
Fan Part number: GM1207PKVX-A

WHY DOES MY HD OPTOMA DLP 70 TURN OFF AFTER FEW MINUTES?

If you have recently replaced the bulb you may need to reset the lamp counter in the projector menu.
If you have not replaced the bulb, the projector may be shutting down due to over-heating. Check that the projector is clear of as much dust and debris as possible.

if the lamp, lamp driver, power supply,Scaler Board and Formatter Board were good.

My Optima Projector flashes the red light on the Lamp & temperature L.E.D's at the same time. Power gets to it but after the LEDS flashing for some time, it automatically turns off then on again and...

Sounds like your bulb has gone.
Unplug it.
Clean all the filter.
Remove lamp and inspect it, check for darkness, cracks and if filament has blown.
If lamp looks ok, put back in and test.
Dont touch the lamp front glass with your fingers as this can damage lamp.

OPTOMA HD 70

You didn't include much information other than the lamp not coming on. Here are a few things to try, if you haven't already. Unplug the projector and allow it to sit for a minute or two. Try removing/re-installing the lamp assembly. Sometimes especially after a lamp change the bulb/contacts are not properly seated. Ensure the screws are securely fastened to keep the bulb seated. Are there any lights, i.e. power, bulb or fan errors lit? I've had my HD70 since 2006 and use it everyday for my main television. PS3, DVDs and Cable all run through it. I average one bulb per year and about 3100 hrs on each bulb. My last bulb actually lasted 3600. I have tried all the above and each has worked at some point. Hopefully you can have some success.

NO PICTURE OR SOUND

Hi
Usually, if the red light is flashing and you get no picture, that means that the lamp life cycle is finished and you'll have to get a replacment lamp. the lamp has about 3000 hours of life (2 to 3 years under nomal use).

You can buy a replacment lamp from here

Hope this helps
Cheers
