If the T/W is going thru the lift off movements the correction tape may be installed with the wrong side towards the paper. Dull side towards the paper.

Garmin froze on erase

Hello,

Try performing a soft and or hard reset on the GPS.
The soft reset is done with the unit disconnected from the power cord, press and hold the power button down for at least 10 seconds until the Garmin screen is displayed.

The hard reset is done with the unit disconnected from the power cord and the unit off, press and hold the lower right corner of the screen and press the power button. A prompt will appear asking "Do you really want to erase all user data?". This will erase all favorites that were saved to the unit. Press yes to reset the unit to factory specifications.

Run the Garmin WebUpdater program to install or reinstall the latest software for your device. This will usually fix any issues.

Be sure to download the correct version for PC or Mac.

I deleted my audio files directly from the computer. Now that I try to record again, the device says that memory is full, even though I have no files on it. How do I reset it to record again?

To erase a selected file, first press the [ERASE] button. Next, press the [+] (plus) or [-] (minus) button to select "ERASE," and then press the [ERASE] or [OK] button.
To erase all files in a folder, first select the folder and press the [ERASE] button for three seconds or longer. Next, press the [+] (plus) or [-] (minus) button to select "ALL ERASE." Finally, press the [ERASE] or [OK] button.
NOTE:
The recorder should be formatted using only by using the internal FORMAT function found in the recorder's Menu. Formatting using the computer may corrupt system files needed to run the recorder, so computer formatting is not recommended. Individual files can be deleted using the computer with no negative effects.
