My 34" Sony WEGA has lost its color.

what problem do you have? sound, picture, color, intermittence?

I have the indentical tv and problem. Cost to repair was about 250.

If the picture is washed out showing poor color it is the picture tube that is the problem, overtime the emission from the guns gradually declines until the picture balance is lost and it progressively gets worse. I recommend you replace it since repairs would involve a new picture tube and cost more than a new set.

my power supply for tv is blowing a fuse

there are two possibilities for such type of a problem
the first one is the control ic which produces those three colours.
the second one is the crt tube if its about to finish such faults do come.

your tv needs to be degaused or demagnetised.it cant be a bad picture tube unless it was dropped.
you can call a local shop to degause it in your home.rather easy and inexpensive to fix.

i would say this is a internal problem how long have you had it?

Try re-solder the board (pcb) mounted on the neck of the tube (crt) there's a lot of cold solder there. almost 90% of troubles are encountered in that board in terms of LOST COLORS
Warning!!! "Safety precations first". If YOU don't know how to do it. look for a technician.
