What does area Error code E-05 mean on a Frigidaire front load dryer model # AEQ6000ES2

model aeq6000es2: the "e05" error code normally indicates that control board may need to be replaced or a stuck relay on the control panel. you can reset the unit by unplugging the dryer power cord for 5 minutes and then reapplying the power. if the problem persists then the control board or the control panel may need to be at fault.

Why can't I get my new control board for my Frigidaire affinity dryer to work?

Hey tim bryant, thanks for your post!
I understand that you have installed a new board inside of your Frigidaire dryer, AEQ6000ES2, and on the new board the lights blink. I would recommend a reset on your appliance which can be done by disconnecting the power to it for roughly ten minutes. If that step does not correct the issue I would seek professional assistance for the repair of your dryer. I hope that is helpful. -Matt

Code PF

PF just stands for power failure. Means for some reason there has been a power failure to the dryer. This failure was external to the dryer and not a problem of the dryer. This is usually fixed by unpluging the dryer from the wall and letting it sit for about 30 minutes to allow it time to reset. Plugit back in after this reset period should allow it to work properly. If this continues, you may have to have an electrician take a look at your breaker/panel to determine if there is a breaker problem. Try this first. Be very careful when replacing or removing the plug from the wall. 220 volts will get ya quick!

Power Failure without tripping breaker

Sounds like an overheat code tripped due to obstruction in the exhaust. There is also a vent tube on the bottom of the dryer that could be loose.

Digital display

PF means Power Failure. Check the breaker in your breaker box. The dryer uses 2 breakers that are put together. Reset the breakers to see if the problem gets fixed.

I just plugged in the dryer it has a "PF" message and won't do anything, unplugging dosen't change anything....

Pf is power factor. It is showing you there was an interuption of power. Some models you have to wait at least 3 minutes before you can press stop / pause / cancel to clear the PF. If you still keep getting PF go to the main CB panel and turn off the Dryer CB by physically pushing to breaker to the OFF position to reset the breaker then back to on. You will have to wait again before you can clear the PF. If after resetting the breaker you still get the PF in the display you may have to find out what power you actually have at the outlet. 115V or 230V. Other factors come into play also like 3 or 4 prong connections vs the previous connection. They do make a difference and if the power cord was installed incorrectly the PF will never clear until the cord is connected correctly.

Kenmore 67082 "PF" power failure code

Check your circuit breaker. Reset it even if it doesn't look tripped. It is a dual switch and sometimes you can't tell if one of them is tripped. Then try it. When you reset the breakers leave them off for about 10 minutes before turning them back on.
